Voice/SMS Service

The voice allowance, both national and international, included in offers activated within the national territory cannot be used while roaming in the EU, pursuant to and for the purposes of Resolution No. 17/26/CONS, under which DIGI has obtained authorization to apply a surcharge to roaming services. By way of exception, the minutes included for calls to the DIGI network (Italy, Romania, and Spain) may be used while roaming at no additional cost and without activating any special tariff option. Furthermore, within Romania, roaming rates are aligned with domestic rates (so-called RLAH = “Roam Like At Home”).

Data Service

Offers activated within the national territory that include a data allowance cannot be used while roaming in the EU, pursuant to and for the purposes of Resolution No. 17/26/CONS, under which DIGI has obtained authorization to apply a surcharge to roaming services. Therefore, using the data service within EU Member States will be possible at a cost of €0.000238/MB (VAT included), or alternatively you may activate the NAVIGA EUROPA tariff option, which includes 13 GB of Internet to be used outside Italy and across Europe for just €3 (VAT included).

For your travels in Europe, we’ve created Naviga Europa. Activate it and travel worry-free! With the Naviga Europa option you get 13 GB of Internet to use outside Italy and across Europe for just €3/month (VAT included).

Naviga Europa is valid for one month from activation and does not renew automatically. If you use up the included data, you can reactivate the option as needed, even before it expires, or you can continue browsing at the standard rate of €0.000238/MB.

Activation of Naviga Europa is free and it can also be used if you already have an active base offer (Illimitato, Combo). It is compatible with the Naviga Extra options.

The Naviga Europa offer is valid in all European Union countries, as well as in some additional countries. In particular, it can be used in:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Hungary, Ukraine.

To prevent abusive or anomalous use of the service, DIGI may monitor the traffic carried out over a period of at least 4 months, applying the surcharge in case of non-compliant use. Specifically, to determine whether roaming consumption of any regulated service exceeds domestic traffic, during the observation period the following objective indicators will be analyzed:

• prevalent presence indicator: more than 50% of the days spent roaming within the EU
• prevalent consumption indicator: more than 50% of voice, SMS, and data traffic consumed while roaming within the EU

If both indicators occur, the customer will be notified, and after two weeks from the communication, if this type of usage continues, surcharges will be applied for each rate. Additionally, DIGI has established the following control measures:

• requesting proof of habitual residence in Italy or proof of stable ties to Italy
• prohibiting the resale of SIM cards to individuals who are not residents or do not have stable ties to Italy
